Did you know, your body begins to recruit your eggs about 120 days before they are released, and sperm is regenerated every 90 days?
This is your window of opportunity! Taking at least three months to change your diet and lifestyle will really impact the health of your eggs (and his sperm) and dramatically increase your chances of getting pregnant and having a healthy baby.
If you don’t have three months to get ready for IVF, there are things you can do that will impact your health and your chances of success.
Doing preconception care for two or three weeks before you do a retrieval can absolutely have an impact, not your egg quality or sperm quality, but on your results, because you can really affect the antioxidants that your eggs are in.
Supplementing, getting acupuncture, eating very clean, eliminating those unhealthy habits like smoking marijuana or alcohol, and getting some moderate exercise are all things you can do right away that will help your body get ready. These steps will help your body communicate and function better, help you have a stronger cycle, and improve your chances of success.
Be proactive! Tips to enhance your fertility:
Eat a clean, healthy diet
Eat a whole-food, nutrient-dense fertility diet that includes whole grains, a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, good fats, lots of clean water, and clean protein. Limit your exposure to toxins
Toxins from your foods and the environment accumulate inside your body and affect all of your cells, your organs, and even your egg and sperm quality.

Take supplements to enhance your overall & fertility health
Antioxidants are important components to having healthy fertility that every man and woman needs to focus on. Antioxidants help to protect the egg and sperm from free radicals, which are able to damage both cell health and the cell’s DNA and could have an effect on the ability to get pregnant, sustain a healthy pregnancy, and the chances of possible birth defects.
Make sure to always invest in high-quality supplements; CVS and Costco brands will not serve you. Talk to someone who specializes in fertility to see what other supplements could be of benefit to you.
