Vitamin D is an essential nutrient you need to make sure you have enough of especially when you’re trying to conceive but it often gets overlooked.

You may have heard (during Covid) that Vitamin D really helps boost your immune system, but it really does so much more!

One problem we see a lot is when someone goes to get vitamin D levels tested, physicians are usually happy if your levels are at the low end of normal. 

But, that’s just survival! 

We really want your vitamin D levels to be at the higher end of normal for optimal health and optimal fertility.

Your body uses vitamin D for so many functions!

Vitamin D is used in our cells to help us facilitate making ATP (how we use energy in our bodies). Without enough vitamin D, you’re not going to be able to make enough of that energy.

When your eggs fertilize, cell division is going like crazy so you really need enough energy to make that happen! 

Having optimal Vitamin D levels will help support your egg quality.

Vitamin D is also important in your natural body’s detoxification system and supports your body’s natural antioxidants.

Antioxidants help protect your cells from oxidated stress (aka cellular damage). 

Oxidated stress can affect our DNA which affects sperm and egg quality and overall health.
